Bodrum Bodrum Terra Türkbükü

Bodrum

The land, which overlooks the Turbuku bay from its upper levels, can be described as a highly sloping slope. The fragmented area, from which we can see almost the entire bay in an arc, also shapes the character of the settlement.

The fragmented villa housing texture in the area keeps alive, albeit partially, a distant and nostalgic feeling of the rural character of the Aegean regions. Therefore, we place this feeling, partly defined in reality and partly in memory, at the starting point of the project.

Our aim is to connect the buildings within the parcel to the landscape, texture and nature by creating fragments, terraces and elevations. Although we build a dense residential settlement, our main goal is to partially dissolve this density with stone walls and fragmented elevation relationships, and to make it a part of the geography by keeping it less visible with different color and texture compositions.

The settlement, consisting of a total of 7 large and small houses, is generally composed of small houses. Placing these housing units with 20-30 m2 living spaces in a way that maximizes the use of outdoor spaces and reconstructing multiple living possibilities, different orientation and shading features in terms of landscape effects stand out as the main elements of the project.
